ICAI Set to Announce CA Final Results on June 18

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is poised to announce the results for the Chartered Accountant (CA) Final Examination conducted in May 2026 on June 18, by the evening. This revelation comes as candidates who participated in the exam eagerly await their results.

Students will have the opportunity to check and download their individual results from the official ICAI results portal. To access their scorecards, candidates must enter their registration number and roll number.

The results will become available following the May examination cycle, marking a significant return to ICAI’s traditional biannual examination schedule, which had previously been disrupted.

Procedure for Checking Results

Upon the release of the results, candidates can navigate to caresults.icai.org and select the ‘CA Final May 2026 Result’ link. After entering the necessary details, they will be able to view and download their scorecards with ease.

The online result will feature important information such as subject-wise marks, total aggregate marks, and qualifying status. Candidates are encouraged to keep their login details readily available to mitigate potential delays caused by high website traffic during the result announcement.

In a note of caution, ICAI has advised candidates to depend solely on the official results portal. They should refrain from engaging with unofficial websites or social media claims that suggest alternative methods of accessing the results.

Distinction and Results Validation

ICAI has explicitly stated that candidates who attain an aggregate of 70 per cent or more in a single attempt will be recognised as having passed with distinction. This notable achievement will be highlighted on their official pass certificate.

In the event of discrepancies found on the scorecard, candidates are urged to contact ICAI promptly for rectifications. This is to ensure that any issues can be resolved swiftly and accurately.

The organisation also reiterated the importance of using the official channels for result verification, thus safeguarding the integrity of the examination process.

Return to Traditional Examination Schedule

The May 2026 examinations are significant as they signal ICAI’s reversion to their conventional examination timetable. From this year onwards, CA examinations will exclusively be held in May and November, with the January examination cycle dropped entirely.

The previous May session had seen Rajan Kabra finishing as the top candidate with All India Rank 1, followed closely by Nishitha Bothra and Manav Rakesh Shah. Candidates from this year’s examination are now undergoing the wait to learn the names of the top achievers once the results are officially declared.

This return to a twice-a-year schedule aims to streamline the examination process and facilitate better management for candidates preparing for their professional qualifications. As the announcement date approaches, there is considerable anticipation among the candidate cohort regarding the results and the implications for their future careers.
