He has publicly urged citizens who support justice for students to partake in a Congress-led protest at Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi. Gandhi, who serves as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, emphasised that student voices must not be suppressed.

In a post on X, Gandhi articulated the necessity for solidarity among those who advocate for students’ rights. He asserted that any attack on students effectively constitutes an attack on all families in India, highlighting the widespread implications of the government’s approach. His appeal was directed towards citizens he considers patriotic, urging them to join the protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence.
