The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra) organisation, known as CJP, is set to hold a meeting on August 5 to evaluate its recent protest at Jantar Mantar. According to founder Abhijeet Dipke, the agenda includes organisational expansion and outlining future initiatives. He clarified that there are no current plans to transition the organisation into a political party.

Dipke indicated that the meeting would commence with reflections on the Jantar Mantar protest, focusing on participant feedback to enhance future programmes. The organisation aims to consider broadening its team and increasing its national presence, subsequently developing a strategic roadmap.

Concerns About Political Aspirations

In light of speculation surrounding CJP potentially becoming a political entity, Dipke confirmed that discussions regarding this matter are absent at present. He emphasised a shared perspective within the organisation to continue operating as a social movement rather than entering the political arena.

Responding to recent comments by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat about engaging with the younger generation, Dipke expressed approval, stating it marks a positive development. He noted that the youth are compelling influential figures to interact with them, a change he believes is essential for addressing contemporary issues.

Dipke advised that greater emphasis should be placed on involving younger leaders who might better resonate with Gen Z. He remarked that many young individuals find it challenging to relate to senior political figures, advocating for the inclusion of fresh, educated faces in leadership roles.

Dialogue and Its Importance

On the topic of dialogue as a means to resolve issues, Dipke aligned with Union Minister SP Singh Baghel’s perspective. He asserted that constructive discussions are fundamental for achieving solutions. He referred to the Jantar Mantar interaction as a platform for dialogue that led to amicable resolutions.

The protest at Jantar Mantar aims to shed light on pressing issues, and Dipke noted that the conversation with BJP President JP Nadda resulted in concrete outcomes, highlighting the efficacy of dialogue in democratic processes.

CJP has faced criticism from the RSS regarding its protest against the NEET-UG examination paper leak. RSS leader Atul Limaye previously suggested that elements attempting to undermine democracy had infiltrated the CJP movement. He called for an examination of CJP’s methodology and strategies.
