On August 4, hundreds of members from the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) initiated a protest march towards the residence of the Chief Minister of Bihar in Patna. The protest route began in the Kotwali area, but demonstrators were halted by law enforcement near the Income Tax Golambar.

The protest underscored a broader discontent among the student community regarding their circumstances.

During the ongoing protest, Independent MP Pappu Yadav articulated strong sentiments against those responsible for the alleged paper leaks, insisting that the battle for student rights would not cease. Meanwhile, NSUI National President Vinod Jakhar reportedly faced detention during the march, a move that raised further concerns about student protests in the region. The NSUI later announced on social media platform X that Jakhar was arrested while seeking justice for students affected by an alleged AK-47 attack in Patna.
