A retired Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Pune has been booked after his daughter-in-law accused him of sexually harassing her and coercing her to bear a child with him. The woman filed a formal complaint alleging that her father-in-law repeatedly entered her room without consent and demanded sexual relations under the pretext of fulfilling the family’s wish for a grandchild.

Husband Impotent, Marriage Not Consummated

The woman, who was married five months ago, claimed that her marriage was never consummated. She and her husband traveled to Mahabaleshwar for their honeymoon, but according to her, he refused to engage in any physical intimacy. She alleges that her husband is impotent, and rather than seeking medical advice, the family forced an unacceptable solution upon her.

Coercion Allegedly Supported by Husband

The complaint further states that the woman’s husband and mother-in-law not only failed to protect her but actively endorsed the father-in-law’s disturbing demands. She alleges that they pressured her to conceive a child through the father-in-law and that the retired officer made repeated, forceful advances, intruding into her room and demanding sexual relations.

All three accused, the retired officer, the woman’s husband, and her mother-in-law  have been named in the FIR. Police confirmed that a case has been registered and that an investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made so far, but authorities say the matter is being handled with seriousness due to the grave nature of the allegations.
