The CSR Journal Magazine

A serious allegation has emerged involving a woman who reportedly tied her husband to a cot and assaulted him following a domestic dispute. The incident took place in Fatehpur district, Uttar Pradesh, and came to light on the morning of July 8, 2026, when police received alerts regarding an injured individual. Authorities promptly arrived on the scene and found Sanjeev Tiwari in critical condition.

The police acted swiftly to transport Tiwari to the district hospital for immediate medical attention. Medical staff provided initial treatment but ultimately referred him to a hospital in Kanpur due to the severity of his injuries. Doctors indicated that he had sustained significant head trauma.

Details of the Assault

According to initial statements, Tiwari disclosed to the police that his wife had tied him to the cot on the night of the incident. He claimed that she held him captive and subjected him to physical violence, including delivering electric shocks using electrical wires. This shocking account of events raises serious concerns regarding the nature of domestic disputes in the region.

As Tiwari’s condition began to stabilise, his brother took the initiative to file a formal complaint at the police station, resulting in the registration of a case against the accused woman. In accordance with procedural requirements, the police detained her for questioning regarding the alleged assault.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhimanyu Manglik confirmed that an investigation is underway. He mentioned that preliminary information revealed a pattern of disputes between the couple, often centred around issues related to alcohol consumption. The SP noted that the altercation escalated dramatically on the night of the incident.

Ongoing Investigation and Community Response

The local police are actively investigating the case, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. SP Manglik assured that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure justice for Tiwari. The police have made it a priority to compile a comprehensive report based on the available information regarding domestic violence and its implications within the community.

Community members have expressed concern over the rising instances of domestic abuse, highlighting the urgent need for intervention and support systems for affected individuals. Reports suggest that many cases go unreported due to social stigma and fear of repercussions.

As investigations continue, the authorities are calling for community engagement to address domestic violence. Officials have emphasised the importance of creating awareness around such issues and encouraging victims to seek help without fear.
