Cocktail 2 Achieves Strong Box Office Performance Over First Weekend

The film Cocktail 2 has concluded its opening weekend with notable box office results. The romantic comedy, which features actors Kriti Sanon, Shahid Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna, reportedly garnered a total worldwide gross of Rs 76.25 crore by the end of Day 3. This total includes gross earnings of Rs 57 crore from India and Rs 19.25 crore from international markets.

During its first three days, the film demonstrated continuous growth in its daily collections. On its opening day, which was a Friday, it fetched Rs 16.20 crore gross and Rs 13.50 crore nett. This was followed by collections of Rs 19.50 crore gross and Rs 16.25 crore nett on Saturday, culminating in a Sunday collection of Rs 21.20 crore gross and Rs 17.50 crore nett.

By the close of its inaugural weekend, Cocktail 2’s net earnings in India stood at Rs 47.50 crore, while its overseas earnings were recorded at Rs 19.25 crore, bringing its global total gross figures to Rs 76.25 crore.

Audience Reception and Show Availability

On Sunday, the film was screened across 10,462 shows, achieving an occupancy rate of 29 per cent. The National Capital Region led in showings with 1,170 screens, followed by Mumbai at 711 and Ahmedabad with 582 shows. This high show count indicates a strong viewer interest despite the competitive landscape.

Cocktail 2 managed to maintain its momentum in spite of competition from the film Main Vaapas Aaunga, directed by Imtiaz Ali. This competing film, featuring Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari, and Vedang Raina, earned Rs 5.75 crore on its tenth day, bringing its total India nett collection to Rs 24.25 crore and gross collection to Rs 40.75 crore, with a global total of Rs 11.7 crore.

The successful performance of Cocktail 2’s box office collections suggests a positive response from the audience. Continuous ticket sales indicate that the film is appealing to its target demographic, contributing to its overall profitability.
