Five Killed, One Injured in Truck Collision on Samruddhi Expressway

Previous Incident in Mumbai

In a separate road incident in Mumbai, on July 11, at least two individuals were injured when a Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) bus reportedly lost control due to brake failure and collided with multiple vehicles. This accident took place around 6:10 PM on SV Road near Amboli. The bus, operating on Route No. 242 and travelling from Tilak Nagar to Andheri Bus Station, crashed into four cars, an auto-rickshaw, and a tempo, causing a chaotic scene on the road.

Injuries and Medical Response

Following the bus mishap, emergency services including the Mumbai Fire Brigade and local police were dispatched to the scene to carry out necessary responses. Two individuals were reported to have sustained injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment. One victim, identified as 33-year-old Santalal Yadav, received outpatient treatment at Cooper Hospital, while another, also 33, named Sakshi, was treated at Millat Hospital. Both individuals are currently reported to be in stable condition.
