NTA Dismisses NEET 2026 Paper Leak Rumours Ahead Of Re-Exam

The CSR Journal Magazine

With less than a week remaining before the re-conducted NEET (UG) 2026 examination, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has once again sought to reassure candidates amid a fresh wave of paper leak rumours circulating across social media platforms.

The medical entrance examination is scheduled to be held on June 21 from 2 pm to 5 pm, with candidates receiving an additional 15 minutes, as previously notified by the agency.

Since the cancellation of the earlier examination and the announcement of a fresh date, several websites, messaging groups and anonymous social media accounts have claimed that the new question paper has either been leaked or is being sold through unofficial channels.

NTA Says No One Has Access To Question Paper

In a fresh message posted on X, the NTA urged students not to allow rumours to disrupt their preparation.

“Don’t let rumours decide your NEET (UG) 2026 journey. No one, repeat, no one has access to the question paper before the exam,” the agency said.

The testing body reiterated that the examination paper remains inaccessible before the test and is protected through multiple layers of security covering its preparation, storage, transportation and distribution.

In a direct appeal to candidates, the agency advised aspirants to focus on revision and rely only on official communication rather than unverified claims circulating online.

Candidates Asked To Report Suspicious Activity

The NTA also cautioned students against websites and individuals promising access to the question paper in exchange for money.

“If you spot a fake website, a ‘leaked paper’ offer, or someone posing as an NTA official, report it. We’ve got your back,” the agency said.

Earlier on Monday, the NTA launched a dedicated grievance-reporting portal to enable candidates to submit complaints related to alleged paper leaks, suspicious online activity, impersonation attempts and other examination-related concerns.

The move is aimed at strengthening monitoring mechanisms and providing students with a channel to flag dubious claims.

Anxiety Persists Ahead Of June 21 Examination

Education experts have pointed out that rumours and misinformation frequently surface around major competitive examinations, with fraudsters often exploiting the fears and uncertainties of candidates.

For many aspirants, repeated claims of question paper leaks have added to the stress surrounding the examination, particularly after the cancellation of the earlier test.

The NTA’s latest communication appears intended not only to counter misinformation but also to restore confidence among lakhs of candidates preparing for one of the country’s most competitive entrance examinations.

As the countdown to NEET (UG) 2026 enters its final days, the agency’s message remains clear: trust official sources, report suspicious activity and do not fall prey to claims of leaked question papers.

According to the NTA, the answer to the question troubling many candidates remains straightforward: nobody has access to the NEET question paper before the examination.
