NBEMS Opens Final Image Correction Window For NEET PG 2026

The CSR Journal Magazine

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has opened the final correction window for candidates preparing for NEET PG 2026. This initiative allows individuals whose photographs, signatures, or thumb impressions do not comply with the established image-upload guidelines to make necessary corrections. The window for corrections is available from August 12 at 1 PM until August 15 at 11:55 PM.

Candidates who miss this opportunity to rectify their submissions may face rejection of their applications. The NBEMS has emphasised that this is the final chance for such candidates to amend their images during the specified period. The official notice highlights that failure to correct images will result in cancellations, urging candidates to act promptly.

Eligible candidates need to ensure that their photographs, signatures, and thumb impressions meet the guidelines as outlined by the NBEMS. To verify their image status, candidates must log in to the official NBEMS website using their application credentials. This checking process is critical to avoid potential issues with their applications.

Communication and Status Monitoring

Candidates are advised to keep their registered email addresses and mobile numbers active throughout the examination, counselling, and admission processes. This ensures that they receive all essential updates from the NBEMS regarding their application status and examination details. It is crucial for candidates to stay informed, especially during this vital phase of the NEET PG 2026 application process.

The feedback loop established through the registered contact information allows candidates to receive notifications regarding their application status and any additional requirements. By staying connected, candidates can better prepare for their examinations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Candidates are encouraged to consult the official notice released by the NBEMS for comprehensive guidance on the image correction process and any further specifics they may need to address. This diligence could significantly impact their eligibility to sit for the examination.

NEET PG 2026 Examination Schedule

In a related update, the NBEMS has released the NEET PG 2026 test-city intimation slip on August 11, 2026. This slip provides candidates with information regarding the city assigned for their postgraduate medical entrance examination. It is an important step in the examination process, offering candidates essential logistical details.

The official schedule confirms that the NEET PG 2026 examination will be conducted on August 30, 2026, employing a computer-based format at various examination centres across India. Candidates should note that the examination this year incorporates a revised test pattern.

Specifically, the NEET PG 2026 paper will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions, a reduction from the previous total of 200. Candidates will have 210 minutes to complete the examination, which will be organised into five sections. Each section will consist of 36 questions with 42 minutes allocated for completion. This modification in the test format has been implemented to enhance the assessment process for aspiring candidates.
