Following her passing, Asha Bhosle’s body was taken to her residence on April 14, allowing family, friends, and admirers to pay their respects. Observing a mark of respect, her body was draped in the Indian flag. Videos revealed soldiers covering her casket, which was adorned with white lilies, as she received full state honours during the farewell.

In a final farewell, Bhosle was cremated with full state honours in Mumbai, reflecting the esteem in which she was held, both as an artist and as a beloved public figure. Her contributions to music and culture continue to resonate across India, securing a legacy that will endure long into the future.
