Cockroach Janata Party Seeks Resignation of Education Minister Amid NEET Controversy

The CSR Journal Magazine

The call for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has intensified, particularly in the aftermath of the NEET 2026 paper leak controversy. Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), has initiated an online campaign aimed at holding the government accountable for what he termed a “system failure” that has adversely affected more than 22 lakh NEET candidates.

In a recent social media announcement, Dipke urged citizens nationwide to rally behind his petition, emphasising the need to effectively pressurise the system. He underscored that the fallout from the examination leak had inflicted severe emotional distress on numerous students and their families, with reports indicating that some individuals have faced depression due to the situation.

CJP Criticises Government’s Management of Education System

Dipke articulated in his video statement that the issue transcends the leak itself, highlighting a broader loss of trust in the educational framework. He attributed the ongoing crisis to a failing system that has jeopardised the futures of millions of students. Furthermore, he noted that despite escalating public outrage, there has been insufficient accountability established at the highest levels of government.

The call for Pradhan to resign has arisen as a necessary step towards restoring faith in the educational system, according to Dipke. His comments come at a time when discussions surrounding the NEET 2026 issue are prevalent in national discourse, particularly following the government’s announcement of a re-examination and recognition of lapses in the examination administration.

Dipke also commented on the public’s frustration regarding examination management policies, education reforms, and the lack of employment opportunities for the youth. He highlighted concerns related to the CBSE re-examination fee, accusing the government of neglecting students’ pressing issues.

Social Media Sparks Nationwide Campaign

The CJP’s campaign has tapped into a widespread sense of discontent observed across various social media platforms. Students and their families have frequently raised alarm over the integrity of competitive examinations, the increasing academic pressure, and the uncertainty surrounding college admissions.

As the administration has pledged corrective measures and stricter consequences for examination irregularities, the trend of online protests and digital advocacy appears to be gaining momentum. Many individuals are utilising social media to voice their concerns, adding pressure on policymakers to respond appropriately.

Currently, the controversy surrounding NEET is under scrutiny within political and parliamentary circles. The escalating demand for accountability, particularly the call for the Education Minister to step down, has introduced additional complexities into the ongoing national debate regarding oversight and integrity within India’s examination framework.
