Celebrities Express Support for Vijay as TVK Approaches Majority in Initial Polls

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) party, led by actor Vijay, is reportedly making significant strides in its debut electoral campaign in Tamil Nadu. Early counting trends have indicated that TVK is leading in approximately 110 constituencies, which positions the party favourably as it approaches the majority mark of 117 seats. This initial success marks a notable achievement for the party, which has exceeded the 100-seat threshold early in the counting process.

As the results began to unfold, social media became a platform for congratulations directed at Vijay. Well-known figures from the film industry expressed their support, highlighting the historic nature of the party’s performance. Activists and fans alike have followed the developments closely, reflecting a keen interest in the political landscape of Tamil Nadu.

Messages of Congratulations Flood Social Media

Numerous celebrities took to social media to congratulate Vijay on the early success of TVK. Actor Nani posted his congratulations on X, stating, “Congratulations @actorvijay sir. First doubted and then crowned. Happened at our home and now it’s happening in our neighbouring home.” He emphasised the significance of the underdog triumphing, drawing parallels between cinema and politics.

Actor Nikhil Siddhartha also expressed pride in Vijay’s achievements, writing, “Proud to see Thalapathy @actorvijay garu from our Indian Cinema Industry making a Huge Mark In Tamil Nadu Politics & emerging as the Single Largest Party Historic Achievement.” His message echoed a sentiment of pride regarding the crossover from cinema to politics.

Aju Varghese contributed with a tweet that noted the historical nature of the moment, remarking, “The historical example of luck favours the brave! @actorvijay sir #respect #change.” His words aimed to highlight the audacity required to venture into politics, which was once deemed a risky undertaking for cinematic personalities.

Key Constituencies Leaning Towards TVK

The Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam appears to be ahead of its main competitors, with the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK)-led alliance reportedly leading in just over fifty seats and the AIADMK bloc ahead in more than seventy. Vijay is also reportedly gaining traction in significant constituencies, including Perumbur and Trichy East, which are key to securing a strong lead in the assembly.

As early trends continue to favour TVK, the flow of congratulatory messages has persisted. Celebrities from various sections of the film industry have applauded the party’s early electoral success, reflecting a shift in the political landscape of Tamil Nadu.

Actor Sibi Sathyaraj joined the chorus of support, declaring “Blastu! Blastu!” in his tweets. He also shared an optimistic sentiment in Tamil, which translates to, “We’ll be fine, we’ll be fine, we’ll all be fine!” His words resonate with the hopeful atmosphere surrounding TVK’s emergence in Tamil Nadu politics.
