Tanzid Hasan Tamim has made history by becoming the first Bangladeshi cricketer to score a Test century in Australia, securing this remarkable achievement during the first Test against Australia in Darwin. Completing his hundred off 188 balls, the 25-year-old’s innings came as part of Bangladesh’s strong performance following their bowlers’ efforts to restrict Australia to just 198 runs.

This innings is especially notable considering it is only Tanzid’s second Test match. He began by carefully building his innings, eventually accelerating as Bangladesh moved ahead in the scoreboard. His efforts were supported by captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, as they aimed to extend their team’s lead after a dominant start on the first day of play.
