Concerns Raised by Col Vembu Shankar

Col Vembu Shankar, a retired Indian Army officer, has expressed serious concerns regarding a specific scene in the series. He highlighted what he termed an incorrect draping of the national flag on a coffin in a scene featuring Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja, portrayed by Siddharth. The veteran stated that the green portion of the flag was visible in the depiction, which he claimed is a violation of the Flag Code of India.

According to Col Shankar, the saffron portion of the flag should have been positioned towards the head of the coffin, in adherence to established guidelines. He conveyed his dismay at what he perceived as a lapse by the military advisors involved and the authorities responsible for the series.

In an Instagram post, he voiced his shock at the oversight and urged immediate corrective action. He called for a digital modification of the scene and demanded that the series be temporarily taken down from Netflix until the necessary adjustments are made. His post included a plea for communication between the Air Headquarters and the producers for rectification.

Following Col Shankar’s remarks, the discourse surrounding the series has intensified, drawing attention to the importance of adhering to national symbols and their proper representation.
