Pankaj Tripathi has secured Rs 15 crore for his role in Mirzapur: The Movie, which transitions the popular series from Amazon Prime Video to the big screen. This film is set to premiere on September 4 and continues the saga of power dynamics among key characters, including Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Bhaiya, and Munna Bhaiya, portrayed by Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Divyendu respectively.

The movie is reportedly developed with a budget of Rs 250 crore, drawing inspiration from the first season of the series. However, viewers can expect alterations in the storyline to suit a cinematic format. The trailer, unveiled on August 11, hints at a narrative expansion that moves beyond the familiar territory of Purvanchal, promising a broader landscape for the unfolding drama.

Lead Cast Compensation Details

According to Filmii Talks, Pankaj Tripathi is the highest-paid member of the cast, receiving Rs 15 crore for his return to the character of Kaleen Bhaiya. Ali Fazal, who reprises his role as Guddu, has been offered Rs 4 crore, while Divyendu’s portrayal of Munna comes with a fee of Rs 3 crore.

Additional cast contributions include Jitendra Kumar, who will depict Bablu and is reported to have charged Rs 1.5 crore. In the original series, this character was played by Vikrant Massey, who had a significant arc before his character’s demise.

Shweta Tripathi, taking on the role of Golu Gupta in the film, is said to have earned Rs 95 lakh for her portrayal. These financial details reflect the growing commercial appeal of the franchise as it makes its way into cinemas.
