Anand Mahindra offers to support education of 10-year-old selling rolls in Delhi

In a heartwarming gesture, billionaire industrialist Anand Mahindra has offered to support the education of a 10-year-old boy selling egg rolls on the streets of Delhi. The child named Jaspreet, who lost his father to brain tuberculosis, is selling egg, chicken and paneer rolls in his father’s roadside stall to sustain himself and his 14-year-old elder sister.
Recently, a video went viral on social media where a foodvlogger shared the heartbreaking tale of the 10-year-old child who is selling rolls in Delhi. After losing his father to brain TB, the child has started making rolls in his father’s stall, a skill which he learnt from his late father. Jaspreet and his elder sister are living with their uncle in Delhi while his mother has left for her ancestral place in Punjab. The child faces the vlogger’s questions boldly, sharing details about his life with courage and smile. When asked from where he musters the courage to keep things going, Jaspreet replies, “I am Guru Gobind Singh’s son, will keep fighting till I can.”

Anand Mahindra’s reaction to the video

Reacting to the emotional video, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra posted on social media platform X, “Courage, thy name is Jaspreet. But his education shouldn’t suffer. I believe, he’s in Tilak Nagar, Delhi. If anyone has access to his contact number, please do share it. The Mahindra foundation team will explore how we can support his education.”

The child’s video has left netizens emotional and they also lauded the industrialist for his kind gesture. “Jaspreet is fearless! Education is crucial. It’s great that the Mahindra foundation is stepping in to support his education. #EducationMatters,” commented a user.
