The process to appoint a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has advanced to its concluding phase, with a Search Committee having completed the final round of interviews for sixteen shortlisted candidates. These interviews took place at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra campus located in Ayodhya on August 11 and August 12.

Comprising Justice (Retd.) Pramod Kohli, Lieutenant General (Retd.) VK Chaturvedi, and nuclear scientist Dr Suresh Hawre, the Search Committee is tasked with identifying a suitable candidate for this pivotal leadership role. The selection process has included several stages of screening and evaluation.

Initially, the committee received a total of 5,585 applications, of which 3,877 candidates provided detailed curricula vitae. The assessment of these candidates focused on management skills, experience in large-scale event coordination, personal excellence, language proficiency, vision, and strategic planning capabilities.

Comprehensive Evaluation of Candidates

In the subsequent round, approximately 111 candidates were invited for online assessments following a comprehensive evaluation of their applications. During this stage, their communication abilities, professional experience, foresight, personality traits, leadership skills, and technological proficiency were closely examined.

Ultimately, the committee shortlisted sixteen candidates for in-person interviews in Ayodhya. The final candidates displayed diverse professional backgrounds, including Army veterans and retired officers from the IAS and IPS, alongside individuals from both governmental and non-governmental sectors.

The evaluation criteria in the face-to-face interactions encompassed management competence, leadership potential, personality, vision, strategic foresight, and expertise in technology. Next Steps for Selection Process

Having conducted the interviews, the Search Committee will assess the final candidates and submit a panel of three names to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for further consideration. The Trust will ultimately make the final decision regarding the appointment of the new CEO.

The CEO position is set to be established on a three-year contract, which may be renewed based on satisfactory performance. The specific salary and benefits associated with the role will be determined through negotiations between the appointed individual and the Trust.
