The selection process for the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has entered its final stage, with the search committee set to recommend three candidates to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

The final round of interviews was completed at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex on August 11 and 12. The Trust will make the final appointment after reviewing the three names submitted by the committee.

Selection Process Began With 5,585 Applications

The recruitment process attracted 5,585 applications for the CEO position, following which 3,877 candidates submitted detailed CVs for consideration.

Candidates were evaluated on their management capabilities, experience in handling large events and crowds, leadership qualities, language skills, strategic thinking and individual capabilities.

After the initial screening, 1,580 applications and candidate submissions were examined in detail. The process then moved to an online interaction involving around 111 shortlisted candidates.

The online assessment focused on communication skills, professional experience, personality, leadership ability, vision and technical understanding.

The selection committee subsequently narrowed the field to 16 candidates, who were called for face-to-face interviews in Ayodhya.

Army Veterans, Former IAS And IPS Officers Among Finalists

The 16 finalists come from a range of professional backgrounds, including the armed forces, civil services, corporate and industrial sectors, education and information technology.

According to the Trust’s official press note, the shortlisted candidates are aged between 50 and 70 and have extensive professional experience and leadership credentials.

The shortlist includes retired military officers, former IAS and IPS officers, as well as senior professionals from government and the private sector.

The range of backgrounds reflects the scale of responsibilities expected to be handled by the first CEO of the Ram Mandir institution.

The position is expected to involve overseeing administration, management of pilgrims and large gatherings, security coordination, staff operations, technology, institutional functioning and long-term planning.

Three-Member Panel To Recommend Final Names

The selection committee comprises retired Justice Pramod Kohli, Lieutenant General (retired) VK Chaturvedi and nuclear scientist Dr Suresh Haware.

The three-member panel brings experience spanning the judiciary, defence, science, administration and institutional leadership.

Following the completion of interviews, the committee will conduct an overall assessment of the 16 finalists before recommending three names to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

The Trust will then select the final candidate from the three-member panel, completing the appointment process for the institution’s first CEO.

The appointment comes as the Ram Mandir’s administrative operations expand and the institution prepares to manage an increasing number of devotees.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust said the recruitment process was being conducted with an emphasis on merit-based selection, institutional excellence and transparency.
