Pranshul Bansal, a student from Faridabad, has displayed remarkable academic prowess by securing a 99.5 percentile in JEE Main 2026 and achieving All India Rank (AIR) 2 in NEET UG 2026 with a score of 715 out of 720. His impressive performance in these competitive examinations positions him among the country’s top medical aspirants, serving as an inspiration to many. Starting his ambition to become a doctor as early as Class 8, Pranshul has charted a fruitful academic path.

Throughout his studies, Pranshul was guided by his parents who supported his decision to pursue the Science stream. He emphasised building a strong conceptual foundation rather than fixating solely on grades. Despite not being the highest scorer in his school during his tenth and twelfth grades, Pranshul’s exam results speak volumes about his dedication and strategic preparation.

In an interview, Pranshul shared that adopting a consistent study routine, committing to approximately eight hours of focused study daily, was vital to his success in these competitive examinations. He highlighted the significance of self-belief in overcoming challenges associated with these tough exams.

Preparation Strategies and Coaching Influence

Pranshul commenced formal coaching at the Allen Career Institute’s Lajpat Nagar centre during his eleventh grade. He noted that this coaching not only enhanced his academic capabilities but also equipped him with skills to manage the pressures of examinations and maintain composure. He regularly engaged with past examination papers, which aided in consolidating his knowledge and building confidence before assessments.

Pranshul’s approach differed from that of many peers; he prioritised the quality of study over the quantity of hours spent. While some students might focus extensively on theoretical knowledge, he dedicated time to solving problems and ensuring a solid understanding of the core subjects—Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

His supportive family played a pivotal role throughout his academic journey. His father, Sanjeev Kumar Bansal, a steel entrepreneur, provided assistance in Physics, while his mother, Monica Bansal, a Company Secretary at The Indian Express, supported him in other subjects. The encouragement he received helped him remain centred and focused on his goals.

Extracurricular Interests and Personal Growth

Apart from his academic commitments, Pranshul has actively pursued various hobbies and extracurricular activities. His passion for reading, particularly in finance, can be attributed to his mother’s profession. Music also plays a significant role in his life; he has obtained international piano certifications, including Grade 4 from Rock School and Grade 2 from Trinity College London.

Sports activities are integral to Pranshul’s daily routine. He engages in badminton, skating, swimming, chess, and continues with his piano practice. This diverse array of interests has helped him maintain a balanced lifestyle, particularly during the rigorous preparation for NEET.

Recognised for his exceptional memory, Pranshul excels in solving the Rubik’s Cube and can complete it blindfolded. His typing skills are impressive, achieving a speed of nearly 100 words per minute. Additionally, he possesses a remarkable capability to identify over 190 countries on a blank world map in under five minutes.
