The initiatives have been categorised under Skill Development, Community Development & Climate Action. These activities support United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of Quality Education, Clean Water & Sanitation, Good Health & Well-Being and Climate Action. The programs in-turn relate to Government of India missions like Skill India, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, National Rural Health Mission, National Mission for a Green India.

The company will implement various CSR activities in Gurugram, Pune, Bangalore and other areas of its business operations. In this respect, clean drinking water facility for Government Senior Secondary School- Jamalpur, Government Primary School- Kharkhari, Government High School-Mushedpur and Government High School- Kaliawas have been created with water storage, piping, water cooler, RO system and water drinking bay for students of these schools. This activity will benefit approximately 927 students.

A tree plantation drive was also carried out in the Periphery of the playground of Government Senior Secondary School-Jamalpur in which 100 trees have been planted with a drip-irrigation facility to conserve water and ensure zero-mortality of trees in the initial years of root development.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Katsunori Ushiku, the Managing Director, Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd. said “Corporate Responsibility to Society is one of the three principles of our Group, as a common heritage we practice this in our business every day. This CSR activity is a replication of our thought where we identified schools far from Gurgaon city which needs corporate support apart from the good job that the government is doing. We wish to carry on this momentum and work closely with these schools in remote areas so that these kids get equal opportunities for a brighter future. I am thankful to the district administration and school authorities for accepting our request to serve them”

This CSR strategy will be followed and implemented across the country. The preceding years will see more work in the same lines along with continuity to maintain facilities created each year with a mandate to increase coverage of areas that need corporate support.
