In a bid to improve educational quality in rural areas, the DS Group has launched a three-day Science Teacher Training Programme titled ‘Nature and Pedagogy of Science’. This initiative took place from July 29 to 31, 2026, in Karnal, Haryana, and aims to empower educators from government schools.

Organised in collaboration with the Eklavya Foundation and the Karnal Education Department, the training programme gathered Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) from various government schools throughout the district. The focus was on enhancing teachers’ understanding of scientific principles, process skills, and effective classroom experimentation.

The curriculum emphasised learner-centric methodologies, making science more engaging and relevant for students. As a result, the initiative aims to foster curiosity and critical thinking abilities among young learners, thereby improving educational outcomes in rural communities.
