CBSE Announces Re-evaluation Results for Class 12 Students

Over 99.7% Of Re-evaluation Applications Processed

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the results of more than 99.7 per cent of applications related to the re-evaluation of the Class 12 Board Examination conducted in 2026. This announcement brings significant relief to numerous students who have been awaiting their revised scores.

In a statement made on Sunday, June 28, 2026, the board noted that the revised results have been released in multiple phases beginning from June 21. The processing of the remaining applications is nearing completion, and these outcomes are expected to be announced in the very near future.

The timely declaration of results is particularly crucial, given that many students have expressed concerns about how the delays might impact their college admissions. An earlier report by India Today highlighted that over 20,000 students were still awaiting their results even as the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) results were made available.

Faster Processing Compared To Previous Year

This year, the CBSE has been able to significantly expedite the re-evaluation process when compared to 2025. In 2025, the board commenced the release of re-evaluation outcomes on June 27, and this process continued until July 11. The streamlined approach this year suggests a much quicker turnaround for students waiting for their scores.

To improve the re-evaluation experience, the board has introduced a new mechanism this year. Students can now first obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets, which allows them to verify specific issues or seek re-evaluation of individual answers. This enhances transparency and gives students more control over their applications.

The CBSE has stated that the re-evaluation process was conducted under the expert supervision of technical professionals from IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, and the Digital India Corporation. This involvement aims to maintain the fidelity and security of the evaluation system.

Opportunity for Students to Review Answer Books

For students whose applications did not result in a change in their marks, the CBSE has provided an opportunity to view their answer books at the relevant regional offices. The board has mentioned that comprehensive schedules for this inspection will be communicated to students in due course.

In light of ongoing developments, the CBSE has urged students and parents to remain attentive to official updates from the board and to avoid being misled by unverified information circulating on social media platforms. Ensuring that only authentic sources are relied upon can help mitigate confusion during this busy application season.

As the final stages of processing continue, the remaining outcomes are anticipated to be posted shortly, allowing all students to gain clarity on their re-evaluation results in a timely manner.
