Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta met with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow on August 7, prior to the release of their upcoming film Batwara 1947. The meeting served as part of the promotional activities for the film, which is set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition.

During the meeting, the actors were joined by Sunny Deol’s son, Karan Deol. Photographs from their discussion with the Chief Minister were subsequently shared on social media by both Yogi Adityanath and Sunny Deol. In an Instagram post, Deol described the encounter as a “pleasant and warm conversation” with the Chief Minister.

Yogi Adityanath also took to social media to share images from the meeting, noting that it was a “courtesy meeting” with both Deol and Zinta at his government residence in Lucknow.

Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Batwara 1947 features a talented cast including Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Abhimanyu Singh.
