Amit Shah and Dharmendra Pradhan Conduct Meeting During CJP Protests

The CSR Journal Magazine

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan convened for a nearly four-hour meeting on July 20 in New Delhi. This gathering coincided with ongoing protests by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) concerning an alleged leak of the NEET examination paper. Tensions have risen as the CJP demands accountability from the government amidst the disturbances.

During the meeting, the CJP raised significant concerns regarding the examination and called for Pradhan’s resignation. Party members have been vocal about their demands, asserting that action must be taken due to the alleged irregularities in the examination process. The prolonged discussions aimed to address the issues raised by the protesters effectively.

Accounts suggest that the dialogue between the ministers and the CJP representatives was aimed at de-escalating the situation. Efforts to resolve the crisis have been of utmost importance given the scale of the protests in the capital.

CJP Delegation Interacts with Health Minister

A CJP delegation also met Union Health Minister JP Nadda to further articulate their grievances. During the meeting, the representatives pressed for immediate actions, specifically calling for the removal or resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan regarding the alleged leaks. This interaction occurred during the ongoing protests, intensifying the situation as demonstrators sought formal recognition of their demands.

In a social media post, party member Saurav Das indicated that the delegation remained at Nadda’s residence from noon. The protesters expect a response to their demands; however, Nadda mentioned that while discussions were promising, no definitive commitments had been made at that time. The CJP expressed their intent to continue peaceful demonstrations until their demands were met.

Nadda later reported that discussions with the protesters had commenced positively. He outlined that a written petition was submitted during the meeting and that he had urged the demonstrators to conclude their sit-in to facilitate a return to normalcy. The situation remained fluid as negotiations were ongoing.

Delhi Police Responds to Allegations

In response to claims made during the protests, Delhi Police addressed allegations from Saurav Das regarding serious injuries and an assault on a minor. They categorically labelled these claims as false, urging the public not to perpetuate misleading information. The police aimed to clarify the situation surrounding the protests and alleviate public concern.

Delhi Police explicitly denied reports of a 12-year-old girl named Geetanjali being assaulted, stating that the allegations were unfounded. The police reiterated their stance against the dissemination of misinformation, especially concerning sensitive claims that could amplify public unrest.

The police’s intervention sought to manage the narrative surrounding the protests. Their statement was intended to prevent the spread of inaccuracies and to maintain order during the demonstrations, highlighting the importance of credible information in the midst of social unrest.
