The annual pilgrimage to the Shri Hemkunt Sahib shrine is set to conclude on October 10, 2026, as confirmed by Narendra Jeet Singh Bindra, President of the Gurudwara Shri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust. This year’s yatra commenced on May 23, 2026, marking the ceremonial opening of the Himalayan shrine’s portals. Since then, the pilgrimage has attracted over 2.38 lakh devotees from various regions of India and abroad.

The Trust noted that there has been a considerable enthusiasm among devotees throughout the yatra season, contributing to the event’s popularity. The increase in visitor numbers underscores the shrine’s significance as a spiritual destination for many, fostering a sense of community and devotion among participants.

As the yatra progresses, the Hemkunt Valley is currently in full bloom, offering participants a chance to experience the region’s unique Himalayan flora. The blooming flowers, including the rare Brahma Kamal, add to the natural beauty of the pilgrimage, attracting even more visitors eager to witness the seasonal landscape.

Naturally Stunning Surroundings and Spiritual Significance

Situated at an elevation exceeding 15,000 feet, Shri Hemkunt Sahib is encircled by seven snowy peaks and a glacial lake, making the journey both spiritually enlightening and physically challenging.
