UP Police Constable Exam: FIR Filed Against Telegram Channel Over Fake Paper Leak

The Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Examination 2026 is in the spotlight following the registration of a case against a Telegram channel. This channel, identified as ‘UPP Exam Paper’, allegedly deceived candidates by claiming to provide the actual question paper in exchange for Rs 8,000. Authorities are taking this matter seriously, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process.

Investigation Launched by Authorities

An FIR has been filed at the Hussainganj police station on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB). Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the operators of the Telegram channel, as well as tracking the bank accounts associated with this alleged scam. The police are keen on gathering all necessary details to bring the culprits to justice.

In a strong message to candidates, the Recruitment Board has urged them not to be swayed by such fraudulent offers. They emphasised that claims of paper leaks or unofficial access to examination papers should be ignored. Strict measures will be enforced against anyone attempting to mislead candidates or disrupt the recruitment process.

Officials confirmed their ongoing investigation aims not only to address this fraudulent activity but also to promote awareness among candidates regarding such scams.

Examination Details and Candidate Guidance

The timing of this incident coincides with the release of admit cards for the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination, scheduled for June 8, 9, and 10, 2026. Candidates can access their admit cards through the official UPPRPB portal using their registration information. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 32,679 positions across several departments, including Civil Police and Armed Police under the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC).

The written examination will be conducted in offline mode, utilising Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets. Each question paper will comprise 150 multiple-choice questions, amounting to a total of 300 marks, with candidates allotted 120 minutes to complete the exam.

Authorities are advising candidates to rely solely on official updates and notifications issued by the Recruitment Board, underlining the importance of verifying information from trustworthy sources. They have stressed that suspicious claims or activities should be reported immediately to uphold the integrity of the recruitment process.
