The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) convened a major meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday to commemorate 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and chart the coalition’s future political and governance agenda. Held at Bharat Mandapam, the conclave brought together senior BJP leaders, NDA allies, chief ministers, and Union ministers for discussions on development, governance, and electoral strategy.

The gathering comes at a significant moment for the ruling alliance, with Modi completing 12 years in office since assuming the prime ministership in May 2014 and beginning his third consecutive term at the Centre.

Tribute to Modi’s Governance Record

A key highlight of the meeting was the adoption of a resolution recognising Prime Minister Modi’s contribution to governance, economic development, welfare delivery, and infrastructure expansion over the past decade. NDA leaders praised the government’s initiatives across sectors, including transportation, digital governance, financial inclusion, and social welfare.

The conclave also served as an opportunity for alliance partners to reflect on the coalition’s journey and reaffirm their commitment to working together on national priorities. Leaders emphasised that the NDA’s continued success has been built on coordination between coalition partners and a shared development agenda.

Discussions on Elections and Alliance Coordination

Beyond celebrating past achievements, the meeting focused on strengthening coordination among NDA constituents ahead of upcoming Assembly elections in several states. Senior leaders discussed strategies to expand the alliance’s reach, improve grassroots engagement, and maintain unity among partner parties.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, and other alliance leaders participated in discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation and ensuring effective implementation of government programmes across states.

The leadership also reviewed challenges facing the country and discussed ways to improve governance outcomes through closer collaboration between the Centre and state governments.

Vision 2047 at the Centre of Discussions

A major theme of the conclave was the government’s Vision 2047 initiative, which seeks to transform India into a developed nation by the centenary of Independence. Discussions focused on economic reforms, infrastructure growth, job creation, innovation, and improving the “Ease of Living” and “Ease of Doing Business.”

As the NDA enters a new phase of governance, leaders projected confidence that continued political stability and policy continuity will help accelerate India’s development goals. The conclave concluded with a renewed commitment to governance, welfare, and long-term national growth under the Vision 2047 framework.
