A 40-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly strangling his two daughters in a hotel room near Bengaluru airport. The incident occurred amidst reports of a marital dispute involving the man, identified as SG Imran. The children, aged five and ten, were from Nagawara in north Bengaluru.

According to law enforcement officials, the event unfolded in a luxury hotel where Imran reportedly took lethal action against his daughters before attempting to take his own life. Preliminary investigations suggest he also inflicted wounds on his own neck with a knife after the alleged murders.

Hotel security staff reportedly responded to distressing screams from the room. They called for police assistance and doctors, who subsequently transported Imran to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. He is reportedly stable and is not in life-threatening condition.

Authorities have located a note left by Imran, in which he allegedly expressed suspicions regarding his wife’s fidelity. The note detailed his claims concerning her relationship with another individual, alongside implications of having proof of this suspected affair.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) North East GK Mithun Kumar stated that investigations are currently focused on the specific factors that led to this tragic event. “We are verifying the exact reason behind the deaths,” he remarked, highlighting that all aspects of the case are under scrutiny.
