Harshad Chopda Exits Lock Upp After Making Shivangi Joshi First Finalist

The CSR Journal Magazine

Harshad Chopda has been dismissed from the reality show Lock Upp after he opted to make Shivangi Joshi the first finalist of the season. This unexpected turn occurred when contestant Shreya Kalra exercised her special advantage, which enabled her to eliminate Shivangi. The decision resulted in significant reactions from the other housemates within the competition.

Following the announcement, all contestants, except for Harshad and Ram Kapoor, conveyed their approval of Shreya’s choice to host Riteish Deshmukh. Riteish subsequently reminded Harshad that he had previously been given the opportunity to make Shivangi a finalist, but had chosen to keep that chance for himself instead.

In response to the host’s remarks, Harshad expressed that he had heard criticisms regarding his performance and indicated he was now prioritising his own game. Riteish then provided Harshad with an immediate option: he could designate Shivangi as a finalist and exit the show alongside her.

Events Leading to the Finalist Selection

The preceding episode commenced with a task aimed at determining the first finalist of the season. The contestants were required to reach a unanimous decision regarding who should progress toward the finale. Shreya initially acquired a special advantage, while Yogesh created a surprise by accepting Rs 10 lakh without forfeiting his position in the competition.

As the task unfolded, several contestants, including Laila, Shilpa Shinde, Ram Kapoor, and Akanksha Chamola, voluntarily stepped away from the competition. This left Harshad and Shivangi as the final two contestants remaining in the arena. During their interaction, Harshad admitted that he had purposely lost a prior challenge, which deeply affected Shivangi.

Shivangi reassured Harshad, stating that if it was in her fate to win Lock Upp 2, the trophy would come to her naturally, urging him not to compromise his own game for her benefit. Both contestants expressed their mutual desire for the other to advance. When neither was willing to take the decisive step, Riteish intervened, prompting them to make a choice.

Initially, both contestants offered to withdraw from the selection, but Harshad ultimately decided to stay, expressing his intention to focus on his own gameplay. As a result, Shivangi exited the arena, which made Harshad the first finalist at that juncture.

Shreya Kalra’s Impact on the Game

The emotional scene did not conclude there, as Shivangi broke down in tears, asserting that Harshad was no more entitled to a finalist position than she was. Harshad also appeared visibly affected by her reaction. The situation took another dramatic turn when Riteish disclosed that Shreya’s advantage allowed her to eliminate one contestant entirely.

After considering appeals from the other housemates, Shreya made her decision and chose to eliminate Shivangi, which left the remaining contestants in shock. This decision escalated the tension within the house and set the stage for the next phase of the competition.

Lock Upp is broadcast daily except on Fridays, airing at 8 pm on Netflix. The unfolding drama and emotional exchanges among contestants continue to engage viewers as the season progresses.
