Bhupendra Patel, the Chief Minister of Gujarat, recently initiated the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Gandhinagar. He urged citizens to evolve the existing ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign into a widespread movement termed ‘Har Dil Tiranga’. This call came during a ceremony held on August 10, which sparked significant participation from residents.

The initiative is reportedly inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Tiranga Yatra is taking place from August 9 to August 17 across the nation, aiming to inspire citizens to express their patriotism and dedication towards the country.

During the event, a multitude of participants proudly carried the Tricolour along a 2.4-kilometre route starting from G-6 Circle and culminating at the iconic Akshardham Temple. The atmosphere was enlivened by various cultural displays, including performances by the Police Band and traditional Nashik Dhol music, which created a sense of national pride among attendees.

Significant Attendance and Cultural Displays

The Tiranga Yatra was attended by various dignitaries, including State BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma, Education Minister Dr Pradyuman Vaja, and Chief Secretary MK Das. During the event, CM Patel emphasised that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is a tribute to the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and aims to foster a sense of unity and integrity among the populace.

Emphasising the role of citizens in this movement, CM Patel remarked that participating in the yatra with the Tricolour represents support for Prime Minister Modi’s vision of ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’. He conveyed that the initiative is crucial for helping today’s generations appreciate the dedication and sacrifices of past freedom fighters.

According to Patel, the essence of the Tiranga Yatra goes beyond celebration; it is also a commitment towards building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by the year 2047. He called on citizens to seize this opportunity to elevate the nation further and embody the resolve of ‘Nation First’ in their endeavours.

Mayor and Public Involvement

In her introductory remarks, Gandhinagar Mayor Mira Patel highlighted the significance of the National Flag as a symbol of pride and national unity. She reiterated that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative is instrumental in cultivating patriotism among citizens. Patel urged participants to reaffirm their dedication to the nation’s unity and sacred resolve through this historic event.

The Tiranga Yatra saw an enthusiastic turnout from students, youth, and various community members. Their engagement illustrated a collective expression of love for the country, showcasing their passionate spirit of patriotism. The event served as a reminder of the communal strength that emerges when people unite for a common cause.
