Flipkart Goat Sale Scheduled to Start with Discounts on iPhone 17 Pro and More

The CSR Journal Magazine

Flipkart has announced the commencement of its Goat Sale, beginning on July 4, shortly after Amazon unveiled its Prime Day Sale. The e-commerce giant has provided early glimpses of significant discounts on a variety of premium smartphones, encompassing Apple’s iPhone 17 series, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 lineup, as well as models from Realme, Oppo, and Nothing. Though many enticing price reductions have been highlighted, Flipkart has yet to clarify if these prices factor in bank offers, exchange bonuses, or specific conditions.

Additionally, customers holding Plus and Black memberships will enjoy exclusive early access to the sale for 24 hours before it is open to the general public. An instant discount of ten per cent will also be available for qualifying purchases made using cards from ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, and HSBC during the sale event.

Notable Discounts on Smartphones

Among the most prominent offers is the iPhone 17 Pro, which Flipkart claims will be available at an effective price of Rs 1,12,900, a reduction from its original launch price of Rs 1,34,999, indicating a discount of approximately Rs 22,000. However, customers are advised to verify whether this final price is contingent on utilising bank offers or exchange bonuses.

The standard iPhone 17 is set to witness a price reduction to an effective cost of Rs 70,900, while the earlier model, the iPhone 16 Plus, will be listed at Rs 73,900 during the sale. Similarly, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 is expected to see a significant price cut, with the 256GB variant projected to be available for Rs 56,999 instead of its launch price of Rs 80,999—a discount estimated at Rs 24,000. Like the aforementioned deals, it remains uncertain if additional factors such as flat discounts, bank card benefits, or exchange offers contribute to this pricing.

The Galaxy S25 Plus will also be on offer, with an effective sale price of Rs 76,999. Another highlight is the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, reportedly available at Rs 1,53,000, down from an original price of Rs 1,69,999, a surprising reduction given the model’s recent entry into the Indian market. As with previous offerings, details surrounding exchange bonuses or special bank discounts will be revealed when the sale launches.

Moreover, the Realme GT 7 is featured at an effective price of Rs 27,999, down from its launch price of Rs 39,999. Although this discount appears substantial, buyers should consider that Flipkart often implements its most significant discounts for a limited duration, particularly during the initial hours or days of a sale, after which prices may rise.

Comparison with Amazon’s Prime Day Sale

Simultaneously, Amazon’s Prime Day Sale will also commence on July 4, offering discounts of up to 40 per cent on selected smartphones. One of the key highlights includes the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, expected to retail at Rs 84,999, which Amazon describes as the “lowest price of the year,” with no mention of any exchange requirements for now. Additional details regarding bank discounts are anticipated once the sale initiates.

Apple devices will similarly see discounts on Amazon, including the iPhone 17 Pro, though the exact pricing remains undisclosed. Other smartphones available during Amazon’s event include the Samsung Galaxy M47, slated to be effective at Rs 22,999 after applying a coupon, and the iQOO 15 at Rs 71,999, reduced by Rs 5,000 from its adjusted retail price of Rs 76,999.

For those interested in OnePlus products, Amazon will offer the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite at Rs 23,999 and the OnePlus 13 at Rs 49,999, with applicable bank offers. The Prime Day Sale will also feature substantial discounts on various electronic products, including laptops and tablets, alongside attractive deals on televisions, thus ensuring ample choices for consumers as both sales roll out.
