A case has been lodged against the son of a private school principal in Gandhinagar, who is facing allegations of sexually assaulting a Class 10 student residing in the school’s hostel. The authorities confirmed that the case was registered at the Sector-21 police station, invoking provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

The complaint states that the victim, a minor from an economically disadvantaged background, was preparing for his Class 10 board examinations while living in the hostel. Reports indicate that the accused reportedly initiated contact with the student, gradually building a level of trust before engaging in inappropriate physical contact.

According to allegations in the complaint, the accused subsequently took the student to his room on multiple occasions and subjected him to sexual assault against his will. The nature of the alleged misconduct raises serious concerns regarding the safety and welfare of minors within educational institutions.

Despite enduring the alleged abuse, the student continued his studies and appeared for his board examinations. Following the completion of his exams, he returned to his home. However, family members reportedly claimed that the accused maintained contact with the student and allegedly exerted pressure on him even after he had left the hostel.

Upon inquiring about his well-being, they were informed of the alleged incidents of abuse.
