The Indian Embassy in China recently confirmed that Ambassador Vikram Doraiswami conducted an introductory meeting with Liu Jinsong, the Director General of the Department of Asian Affairs at the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Presentation Of Credentials

On May 7, 2026, Ambassador Vikram Doraiswami formally presented a copy of his credentials to Hong Lei, Assistant Foreign Minister and Director-General of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. This event took place in Beijing and marked the official recognition of Doraiswami’s diplomatic status as the Indian ambassador to China.
