Sunetra Ajit Pawar, the National President of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, remarked that the support shown by the Baramati electorate is a tribute to the late Ajit Pawar. In a message shared on X, she urged party members and supporters to avoid celebratory rallies or the throwing of gulal, reflecting a desire for modesty in remembrance of her late father-in-law. She emphasised that the victory serves as a moment to honour his legacy rather than a time for extravagant celebrations.

In her press release, Sunetra Pawar extended sincere thanks to the citizens of Baramati for endorsing her efforts to realise the vision of the former Deputy Chief Minister. She expressed that this marks “not the end, but just the beginning of determination, struggle and a new Baramati,” highlighting her commitment to her constituents.

The recent by-elections in Baramati were prompted by the passing of Ajit Pawar in a plane crash earlier this year. Sunetra Pawar reassured residents of her firm dedication to fostering the growth and development of the constituency in alignment with the aspirations set forth by Ajit Pawar.

She called upon the community to collectively focus on constructive progress, reiterating that her core priority is to uphold the values instilled by Ajit Pawar during his years of service.
