Apple is reportedly set to unveil its first foldable device next month alongside the latest generation of iPhones, generating considerable excitement among fans and technology enthusiasts. However, a recent report indicates that the iPhone Fold may not be available simultaneously in all markets. Customers in several countries could experience delays, waiting months before they can purchase the device.

According to a report from ChannelNews, Apple will showcase the foldable iPhone during its launch event in the United States on September 8. Supply chain issues, pricing concerns, and production testing difficulties are said to be responsible for the potential staggered release. A major component supplier from China has indicated that these challenges may prevent a simultaneous launch in global markets.

The report further disclosed that Australian carriers and a leading retailer have been informed that the Apple Fold will not be available when the iPhone 18 series is released. Initial stock is expected to roll out in the United States before reaching significant markets, including China.

Additionally, Apple is not anticipated to disclose the price of the foldable iPhone during the September event. The device is expected to be significantly more expensive than existing iPhone models, with speculation suggesting that the price in Australia could exceed $700 more than Samsung’s Galaxy Fold 8.

The high cost associated with the new device is likely attributed to the expensive components required for its production. Reports suggest that Apple’s design team has expressed concerns regarding the device’s overall quality after reviewing Samsung’s recent foldable technology.
