Police Teams Deployed to Arrest Samarth Singh in Twisha Sharma Death Case, Rs 10,000 Reward Announced

The CSR Journal Magazine

The authorities have announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for information leading to the capture of Samarth Singh, the primary suspect in the Twisha Sharma death investigation. This decision was confirmed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajneesh Kashyap Kaul, who stated that efforts to locate the accused have been significantly increased.

Multiple police teams are actively working on the case to track down Singh. ACP Kaul highlighted the urgency of the investigation, indicating that teams are making concerted efforts to apprehend the suspect. Additionally, preventive measures have been implemented to ensure that Singh does not leave the country.

The police have reached out to the passport office to initiate the necessary legal procedures to prevent Singh from fleeing. Six dedicated teams are currently engaged in the investigation and are gathering vital evidence to support their case against the accused.

Details of Twisha Sharma’s Case

Twisha Sharma, aged 33, originally from Noida, had married Samarth Singh, a local resident of Bhopal, in December 2025. Her untimely death occurred on May 12, with her family accusing her in-laws of mental cruelty and dowry harassment. These claims have led to police action and the establishment of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to scrutinise the circumstances surrounding her death.

Further complicating the situation, Twisha’s family has expressed their desire for a second post-mortem examination, citing discrepancies between the initial post-mortem report and other pieces of evidence. This request has been formally submitted to the Commissioner of Police in Bhopal and will also be addressed in court.

ACP Kaul provided updates on the ongoing investigation, acknowledging the family’s request for a comprehensive review of the findings. He noted that, as of now, there are no indications of substance abuse in the post-mortem report. The police have written to the relevant administration for clarification, with expectations of receiving further details shortly.

Family’s Demands for Justice

The Sharma family has voiced strong concerns regarding the circumstances of Twisha’s death and the handling of the case. Navnidhi Sharma, the father of the deceased, has publicly requested a second post-mortem, questioning the decision to release the body given the case’s suspicious nature. He remarked on inconsistencies between the post-mortem findings and other available evidence.

In her plea for justice, Rekha Sharma, Twisha’s mother, has also called for the immediate arrest of Samarth Singh and his mother. The family’s frustration and determination to seek accountability have been emphasised amidst concerns of influence from Singh’s family.

The police are firmly committed to the investigation and are pursuing all leads to ensure that the case is thoroughly examined. As they continue their efforts, the authorities remain focused on resolving the issue in accordance with legal directives and ensuring justice for Twisha Sharma and her family.
