PM Modi To Distribute Over 51,000 Appointment Letters At 19th Rozgar Mela

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to initiate the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela on Saturday, where he will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals. This event will take place across various Union Ministries, departments, and public sector organisations. PM Modi is also expected to address the gathering, highlighting the significance of this initiative.

The Rozgar Mela serves as a critical platform for employment generation, reflecting the Prime Minister’s commitment to creating job opportunities for the youth. Since its inception, approximately 12 lakh appointment letters have been issued over the course of 18 Rozgar Melas held nationwide.

This edition of the Rozgar Mela is organised at 47 locations across the country, aimed at reaching out to a diverse group of candidates. The newly recruited personnel will be placed in several key Ministries and Departments, including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and Department of Higher Education.

Target Demographic and Recruitment Process

The Rozgar Mela primarily focuses on young individuals aged 18 to 35 years. It caters to a wide array of academic qualifications, accommodating those who have achieved educational milestones such as completing the 8th, 10th, and 12th grades, as well as holders of ITI diplomas, other diplomas, and graduate degrees. Additionally, the initiative includes trained and certified candidates who align with the National Skills Qualifications Framework standards.

In preparation for this large-scale recruitment event, various strategies have been employed to mobilise job seekers. Advertisements have been published in print media, supplemented by bulk SMS notifications and outreach via social media platforms. Furthermore, workshops held in colleges and universities within the vicinity of the event aim to inform and encourage candidates to participate.

The recruitment approach facilitated by the Rozgar Mela emphasises not only immediate employment but also the long-term goal of skill development among the youth of India. By attracting a diverse talent pool, the initiative contributes to building a skilled workforce across various sectors of the economy.
