Parents Hire Hitman to Kill Drug-Addicted Son In UP’s Amroha

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Amroha Police in Uttar Pradesh uncovered a disturbing case where a family allegedly plotted to murder their own son, driven by desperation due to his severe drug addiction. The incident came to light after the lifeless body of a young man named Dushyant was discovered near a dry canal in Shampur village, within the Didoli Kotwali jurisdiction. Initially, the investigation suggested that his death could be a random act of violence or an unfortunate accident. However, the police soon realised that the truth was far more chilling and involved family members.

Details of the Investigation

Dushyant’s struggles with drug addiction had reportedly turned his behaviour into a nightmare for his family, resulting in frequent instances of domestic violence and severe conflicts. As a result of his actions, life had become unbearable for his parents and siblings. The authorities initiated a comprehensive investigation, which exposed a web of betrayal and desperation within the family. Consumed by fear and frustration, Dushyant’s father and other relatives allegedly made the drastic decision to employ a contract killer to eliminate him.

According to Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Akhilesh Bhadoria, an official case was registered following the discovery of Dushyant’s body. Investigative efforts revealed that his family was supposedly behind the conspiracy. In light of these revelations, Dushyant’s father has been taken into custody, while the police are actively searching for the absconding contract killer, identified only as Jolly.

Reports indicate that Dushyant’s family allegedly negotiated a deal with Jolly, a local criminal, for a sum of ₹5 Lakhs. Disturbingly, Dushyant’s mother reportedly pledged her gold jewellery in order to secure the initial funds required for the crime. An advance payment of ₹55,000 was allegedly transferred to Jolly to facilitate the execution of the plan.

Arrests and Confessions

Following a combination of digital and manual surveillance of the suspects, police apprehended Dushyant’s father and brother. During their interrogation, both confessed their involvement in the alleged crime. They cited the extreme distress caused by Dushyant’s addiction and violent behaviour as pivotal in their decision to seek his elimination. ASP Bhadoria noted that the family was profoundly affected by his actions and felt compelled to act in such a drastic manner.

As the investigation continues, the police have emphasised that the hunt for the contract killer Jolly remains a priority. Dushyant’s father and brother currently face serious charges of murder and conspiracy, and the police are committed to ensuring accountability for their actions. The shocking nature of this incident has left the local community in disbelief, raising discussions on the challenges faced by families dealing with drug addiction.

Further investigative efforts are underway to uncover more details surrounding the case and ascertain the full extent of the family’s involvement. The ongoing situation has highlighted the desperate measures some families may resort to when faced with the catastrophic impact of addiction.
