OnePlus Pad 4 Launches in India on April 30

The CSR Journal Magazine

OnePlus is set to introduce the OnePlus Pad 4 in India on April 30, marking the latest addition to its tablet series. The announcement comes as the company shares promotional content online, accompanied by dedicated pages on platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. These pages are providing preliminary details about the device’s features and design while generating interest among potential customers.

This model follows the launch of the OnePlus Pad 3, which made its debut in June of the previous year. Although the company has yet to confirm all specifications, initial indications suggest that the OnePlus Pad 4 will provide improvements, particularly in battery capacity and processing capabilities.

The tablet will be offered in two colour variations: Dune Glow and Sage Mist. These options are intended to appeal to a diverse range of consumer preferences, ensuring that the device has a stylish appearance in addition to its functional enhancements.

Specifications and Design of OnePlus Pad 4

The OnePlus Pad 4 boasts a premium metal unibody construction, featuring a distinctive pill-shaped camera module located at the top-left corner. This camera setup includes a primary sensor accompanied by an LED flash. The overall design remains similar to that of the OnePlus Pad 3, although there is a notable change in the position of the three-dot connector. In the new iteration, this connector has been relocated to the top-right area of the device.

At its core, the OnePlus Pad 4 will utilise the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, offering a significant performance boost over the Snapdragon 8 Elite which powers the Pad 3. In terms of memory, the Pad 4 can be configured with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and provides storage options that extend up to 512GB. The device has reportedly achieved an impressive AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 4.1 million.

Powering the OnePlus Pad 4 is a robust 13,380mAh battery. This capacity represents an increase over the previous model’s 12,140mAh battery, while maintaining the same fast charging capability with 80W SUPERVOOC support. This enhancement is particularly noteworthy for users seeking longevity and quick recharge times for their tablets.

Display and Camera Features

The OnePlus Pad 4 includes a 13.2-inch 3.4K display, featuring a refresh rate of 144 Hz. This specification aims to enhance the user experience, particularly for gaming and multimedia consumption. By comparison, the OnePlus Pad 3 also featured a 13.2-inch display with similar refresh rate capabilities but with a peak brightness of 900 nits.

On the camera front, the OnePlus Pad 3 is equipped with a 13 MP main camera in addition to a colour spectrum sensor and an LED flash. The front camera is an 8 MP unit, suitable for video calls and selfies. These features are expected to continue in the Pad 4, providing users with versatile imaging options.

Both tablets fall under the same configurations for memory—12GB RAM with 256GB storage or 16GB RAM with 512GB storage—utilising the UFS 4.0 standard. This ensures efficient performance across various tasks and applications, appealing to a wide range of users.
