More Than 1,000 Candidates Apply For Ram Mandir CEO Position Ahead Of July 18 Deadline

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust has received more than 1,000 applications from across the country for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ram Mandir’s managing body, with the response coming within days of the recruitment notification being issued.

The recruitment process comes amid the ongoing controversy over the alleged theft of donations at the Ram Mandir. The application window remains open until July 18, and the trust expects the number of applicants to increase further before the deadline.

Retired Bureaucrats Form Majority Of Applicants

According to the trust, the largest share of applicants comprises retired bureaucrats and former senior administrative officers.

Former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur has also confirmed that he has applied for the position.

A large number of applications were received at the official email address of the selection committee within 24 hours of the recruitment notification being issued.

Selection Committee To Review Applications

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust has constituted a three-member committee to oversee the recruitment process.

The panel comprises former Supreme Court Justice Pramod Kohli, Lieutenant General (Retd) Vishnukant Chaturvedi and Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust chairman Suresh Haware.

Owing to the high volume of applications, the committee will appoint a secretary to assist with screening applications and verifying candidates’ eligibility.

The committee is scheduled to meet on July 19 to scrutinise applications and finalise the interview process.

Eligibility Criteria And Next Steps

Applicants for the CEO post must be between 50 and 70 years of age and have at least 20 years of administrative experience.

Candidates must also be willing to reside in Ayodhya, be devout Hindus, have faith in Lord Shri Ram and possess proficiency in both Hindi and English.

Following the initial screening, shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews or discussions. If required, interviews may also be conducted online.

The selection committee is expected to present a progress report on the recruitment process at the Ram Mandir trust’s proposed meeting on July 22.
