Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) has wrapped up its three-day Orientation Programme for new undergraduate and postgraduate students for the 2026–27 academic year. The event drew significant attendance, surpassing 15,000 individuals, including both students and their parents. The comprehensive programme included 13 thoughtfully planned sessions and welcomed participants from every State and Union Territory in India, reinforcing MUJ’s status as a prominent choice for multidisciplinary higher education.

The orientation sessions took place across various faculties and schools within the University, providing families and students with a thorough introduction to MUJ’s educational framework. Topics covered included academic and research opportunities, student support services, campus life, and the institution’s emphasis on future-ready education and global collaborations.

Programme Highlights and Key Addresses

Several university officials addressed the newcomers during the orientation, including President Prof. (Dr.) N. N. Sharma, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Amit Soni, and other deans. They collectively encouraged students to pursue academic excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning while promoting ethical values and overall personal development in their new environment.

In his address, President Prof. (Dr.) N. N. Sharma urged students to seize the numerous opportunities offered at the University and to uphold the values established by the founder, Late Dr. T.M.A. Pai. He shared personal anecdotes to inspire students, emphasising the importance of curiosity, discipline, and lifelong learning. Furthermore, he highlighted MUJ’s increasing academic stature, which is evident in its national and international rankings.

The orientation included dedicated sessions catering specifically to students from various faculties, such as the Faculty of Science, Technology and Architecture (FoSTA) and the Faculty of Management, Commerce & Arts (FoMCA). These sessions were designed to familiarise students with their chosen fields and future academic paths, ensuring clarity as they begin their studies.

Commencement of Departmental Induction Programme

Following the conclusion of the Orientation Programme, MUJ initiated its Departmental Induction Programme on February 1, 2025, aimed at easing students into their academic departments. This induction phase is scheduled to continue until February 5, 2025, during which students will be welcomed and briefed by Heads of Departments, Deans, and faculty members.

The sessions will provide insights into the academic structure, curriculum framework, credit system, and departmental regulations, as well as access to laboratories, studios, and research facilities. Students will have the opportunity to engage with faculty members, understand departmental expectations, and explore avenues for research and project work, thereby building a solid foundation for their academic journeys.
