Jasmin Bhasin has disclosed that she was admitted to a hospital while on her birthday trip to Dubai, following a diagnosis of terminal ileitis, compounded by a severe high-risk infection and inflammation. The actor shared this information through her Instagram Stories, where she reported feeling unwell the day after her arrival in Dubai. Bhasin expressed her hopes for a swift recovery and acknowledged the unusual circumstances surrounding her birthday celebration, which took place in a hospital setting.

In her video update, Bhasin articulated the urgency of her condition, stating, “As soon as I landed in Dubai, the next day I fell severely sick and had to get hospitalised because I was diagnosed with terminal ileitis and severe high-risk infection and inflammation. But hopefully I will recover soon and will be back.” This news has prompted reactions from her followers, who expressed their concern and well wishes for her health.

Terminal ileitis is characterised by inflammation of the terminal ileum, the concluding section of the small intestine, leading to various symptoms including severe abdominal pain, diarrhoea, and nausea. This condition may also result in complications such as intestinal blockage, necessitating timely medical intervention.

Understanding Terminal Ileitis

Terminal ileitis can occur for numerous reasons, often associated with Crohn’s disease but also linked to other health conditions, such as infections or the prolonged use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Conditions like ulcerative colitis, decreased blood flow to the intestine, and, although rare, particular cancers or inflammatory disorders may also contribute to the development of terminal ileitis.

The diagnosis usually involves thorough medical evaluations, including clinical assessments, blood tests, imaging, endoscopy, and, when necessary, tissue biopsies. Given its varied potential causes, a comprehensive approach is essential for determining the appropriate treatment and management strategies for patients.

Birthday Celebrations in Hospital

Aly Goni, Bhasin’s boyfriend, took to social media on June 28 to share his birthday wishes for her, despite the unfortunate setting of their celebration. His heartfelt message included a photograph from the hospital, underscoring the couple’s challenging situation. Goni expressed deep concern for Bhasin, stating, “Seeing you in pain has been the hardest part of this trip. I’d trade every celebration just to see you healthy and smiling again.”

He further extended his hopes for her recovery, wishing her endless happiness, good health, love, and success. The emotional note encapsulated the couple’s bond, as they faced this tough circumstance during what was meant to be a joyful occasion.

Bhasin and Goni first crossed paths in 2018 while participating in the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 9. Their friendship blossomed during the programme in Argentina, but it was through their shared experience in Bigg Boss 14 in 2020 that romantic feelings emerged.
