A 24-year-old man was tragically killed and two others critically injured during a knife attack by a group of assailants at a petrol pump in the Lado Sarai area of south Delhi. The incident occurred late at night, as the victims, who were friends working as auto drivers, stopped at the petrol station to refuel their motorcycle. Police reports indicate that approximately 10 to 15 individuals armed with knives initiated the attack without any prior warning.

The deceased has been identified as Ali Aman, who suffered nearly 20 stab wounds and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Eyewitnesses state that the attack took place around 11 pm when the petrol pump was bustling with customers. Despite the crowded environment, no bystanders intervened as the assailants carried out their violent act before swiftly fleeing the location.

Injuries and Medical Response

Two other victims of the assault, Sufiyan and Hrithik, sustained serious injuries and were immediately taken to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment. Sufiyan, aged 23, reportedly endured around eight stab wounds and is currently in the intensive care unit, while Hrithik has been reported to have suffered between 12 and 15 stab wounds and remains in critical condition. The medical teams are closely monitoring both injured individuals as they fight for recovery.

The swift action of the medical staff has been crucial in addressing the life-threatening injuries of the two men. Their families and friends are reportedly waiting for updates on their conditions as they remain hopeful for their recovery. Local authorities have stated that ensuring the wellbeing of the injured is a top priority while they investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack.

The attack has raised significant concerns about public safety in the area, especially given that it occurred during a busy time when many individuals were present. The local community has expressed shock and outrage over the lack of intervention during the stabbing. Family members of the deceased victim, Ali Aman, have shared emotional statements highlighting his character. They described him as a simple and soft-spoken individual, the only brother to two sisters. Tragically, one of his sisters was reportedly preparing for an upcoming marriage, which adds an additional layer of grief to the family. Relatives expressed their suspicions about a group of local youths who had previously attempted to befriend Aman and his friends, suggesting that this could be linked to the attack.
