However, the Indian player quickly regained her composure, showcasing exceptional movement and shot accuracy to clinch the last two games of the match, ensuring her place in the final.

Anahat’s Reflections on Her Journey

Following her match, Anahat Singh expressed her excitement about reaching the final for the first time, having previously fallen short in earlier tournaments. “I’m really happy. I played Barb a few months ago at the British Junior Open, and it was a close match like this, so I knew I’d have to play really well,” she remarked.

She acknowledged that her performance in the previous day’s match did not meet her expectations, prompting her to push harder in the semifinal. “I didn’t play my best yesterday, and I knew I had to come out today and show what I can do on court. I’ve played in four World Juniors and lost in the quarters and semis, so reaching the final has made my parents and coaches really happy, but the tournament’s not over yet,” she stated.

Anahat Singh’s rise in the world of squash has been swift and remarkable. Currently ranked World No. 20 on the PSA Tour, the young athlete has already earned multiple PSA titles and medals in significant continental competitions. After securing a bronze medal at the World Junior Championships the previous year, her determination has driven her this year to pursue the championship title.
