The CSR Journal Magazine

The Uttarakhand Police Headquarters has established a State-Level NTA Examination Control Room in Dehradun aimed at ensuring the fair and transparent conduct of the NEET-UG 2026 examination. This initiative is part of the preparations for the examination being conducted today.

Authorities indicated that the control room is focused on facilitating effective coordination and enabling rapid information exchange during the examination period. Nodal Officer Lokjeet Singh, who serves as the Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Law & Order), along with an NTA Observer and their team, is tasked with maintaining consistent communication with the State Nodal Officer, administrative officials, police personnel, and state coordinators.

The aim is to continuously monitor every facet of the examination process. Police Headquarters has also instructed all District Magistrates and Senior Superintendents of Police throughout the state to immediately communicate any significant information, suspicious activities, or law-and-order concerns to the State-Level Control Room.

Enhanced Security Measures Nationwide

In preparation for the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled to take place today from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM, security across the country has been significantly intensified. This increase in security is especially evident at various examination centres in the national capital, including the CM SHRI School located on Pandara Road.

In Raichur, examination officials are prompting students to remove any restricted items such as chains before entering the testing centres. Comprehensive security measures have been implemented at various locations to guarantee a fair examination process. Authorities are undertaking rigorous verification and security checks to ensure compliance with the established protocols.

In Mangalore, preparations are actively underway at the Government Pre-University (PU) College for Women in Balmatta, which is designated as one of the examination centres. Security personnel are supervising the transportation of examination papers to ensure that all regulations are followed closely.

Logistical Arrangements in Indore

In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, security protocols are being overseen by the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) for Security-I, Priti Tiwari. She emphasised the importance of efficient examination processes, stating that all materials are being transported under strict security measures, with comprehensive traffic arrangements in place.

Each area has been partitioned into four zones, with Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) monitoring operations and issuing necessary instructions to ensure smooth execution. This thorough planning is aimed at securing the integrity of the examination while maintaining order throughout the entire process.

The NEET-UG re-examination is anticipating participation from more than 22.79 lakh candidates. These candidates will be seated at approximately 5,440 centres located across 551 cities in India and at 14 centres internationally.
