Three individuals, including two children, lost their lives in a tragic accident late at night in Khor village, located in the Pataudi area of Gurugram. The victims were struck by a speeding Mahindra Thar while walking along a village road, leading to fatal injuries. Police officials stated that the collision occurred around 11 PM, resulting in the immediate death of all three individuals involved.

CCTV Footage Aids in Identifying Suspect

According to police reports, the driver of the vehicle fled the accident scene after abandoning the car. Fortunately, the incident was captured on the village’s CCTV cameras, which played a crucial role in identifying the driver. Authorities managed to track him down just hours after the incident, thanks to the footage.

Identification of Victims

The deceased have been identified as Subhash, a 54-year-old man, who was reportedly returning home from visiting his brother. He was accompanied by his two grandsons, aged 10 and eight. Eyewitnesses indicated that the vehicle struck them from behind, propelling them approximately 30 feet away from the impact site.

Police Response and Driver’s Arrest

Law enforcement from the Pataudi police station arrived promptly at the scene after being informed of the accident. They took custody of the bodies and initiated an immediate search operation to locate the driver involved in the crash. The accused, identified as 25-year-old Deepanshu from Goriawas village, was apprehended soon after. He has been arrested and is slated to appear before a judicial authority, with police planning to seek remand for further investigation into the incident.
