The CSR Journal Magazine

A theft occurred at Mateshwari Mobile Shop in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, where a burglar allegedly donned a mask featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi to conceal his identity. The incident took place around midnight when the suspect reportedly forced open a staircase gate from the roof and gained entry into the establishment. This brazen act was captured on CCTV, leading to concerns regarding security in the area.

Shop Owner’s Discovery and Loss Assessment

Upon opening the shop the following morning, owner Laxman Sen reportedly found the premises in disarray. He observed that numerous mobile phones had been taken, with goods scattered throughout the store. Initial assessments suggest that around thirty to forty smartphones, valued at approximately Rs 4-5 lakh, were stolen during the night. This significant loss has raised alarms within the local business community.

Kareda police station officer Puranmal Meena arrived at the scene shortly after the theft was discovered. He and his team conducted an investigation and began examining the CCTV footage to uncover more details regarding the crime. A case has reportedly been registered to facilitate the inquiry and track down the perpetrators.

The use of a mask resembling a prominent public figure has caused particularly serious ramifications, prompting discussions around the implications of such actions. Traders in the Kareda area have expressed heightened concern over their safety and have urged local authorities to enhance security measures, especially during nighttime hours.

Concerns Among Local Merchants and Related Incidents

In the wake of the burglary at Mateshwari Mobile Shop, there have been calls from local merchants urging for improved night patrols by authorities in Kareda. The fear and apprehension among traders are palpable, as they wish to protect their businesses from similar incidents. Several residents have echoed these sentiments, highlighting the need for more vigilance to deter criminal activities.

On the same night as the Mateshwari Mobile Shop incident, it is reported that thieves made an attempt to break into another mobile store, Sanwariya Mobile Shop, situated near the Seed Godown intersection in Kareda. CCTV footage from this separate location allegedly captured a suspect wearing a similar mask while attempting to tamper with the shop’s shutter lock, indicating a troubling pattern in criminal behaviour within the locality.

Law enforcement is actively engaged in piecing together both incidents to ascertain any connections. The dual occurrences have sparked a broader dialogue on public safety and the necessity for enhanced protective measures in commercial areas. Officials are urging the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to aid the ongoing investigations.
