The CSR Journal Magazine

Google has introduced the Pixel 11 series in India, featuring both the standard Pixel 11 and the Pixel 11 Pro. These models showcase a similar design ethos, incorporating a premium glass finish, a horizontal camera bar, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

The Pixel 11 measures 152.8 x 72 x 8.6 mm and weighs 197 grams, making it more compact compared to its Pro counterpart. The Pixel 11 Pro has a thickness of 8.4 mm and weighs 204 grams, slightly heavier than the standard model.

Consumers can choose from several colour options for each model. The Pixel 11 is available in Frost, Pistachio, Hibiscus, and Obsidian, featuring a Gorilla Glass Victus 2 back. The Pixel 11 Pro offers Canyon, Olive, Fog, and Obsidian finishes, boasting the same durable glass backing.

Display Specifications of Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro

The display is a key differentiating factor between the two devices. The Pixel 11 sports a 6.3-inch Actua OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2424 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This screen achieves up to 2,000 nits brightness in HDR mode and peaks at 3,000 nits.

In comparison, the Pixel 11 Pro also features a 6.3-inch display but utilises a Super Actua LTPO OLED panel. This offers a higher resolution of 1280 x 2856 pixels, supporting an adaptive refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz, with brightness capabilities reaching up to 2,400 nits in HDR and 3,600 nits at peak.

While the screen size remains consistent across both models, the Pixel 11 Pro presents a sharper, brighter, and more versatile display panel, enhancing the overall viewing experience.

Camera Capabilities of Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro

The camera setups further distinguish the two smartphones, with the Pixel 11 Pro providing superior specifications. The standard Pixel 11 is equipped with a 48-megapixel main camera featuring Macro Focus, alongside a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 10.8-megapixel 5x telephoto camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). Additionally, it includes a 10.5-megapixel autofocus front camera.

On the other hand, the Pixel 11 Pro comes with a more advanced camera system. It includes a 50-megapixel main shooter, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera with Macro Focus, and a 48-megapixel 5x telephoto lens with OIS. Its front camera is a 42-megapixel autofocus model, capable of recording video in 8K at 2430fps.

These enhancements confirm that for enthusiasts focused on photography and videography, the Pixel 11 Pro is a more compelling choice due to its enhanced camera specifications.

Battery Performance and Pricing of Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro

Both smartphones are equipped with sizeable batteries, although the Pixel 11 technically boasts a slightly larger capacity. It houses a 4,985 mAh battery, while the Pixel 11 Pro is designed with a 4,850 mAh unit. Google states that both models can last over 30 hours on a single charge.

Charging capabilities for both devices are equivalent, supporting wired charging up to 30W and Qi2 wireless charging. This provides users with flexible options for recharging their devices.
