Ram Charan’s Peddi Achieves Over Rs 150 Crore Despite Box Office Decline on Day Two

The CSR Journal Magazine

The film Peddi, featuring Ram Charan, experienced a notable decrease in box office earnings on its second day in theatres. According to trade analytics from Sacnilk, the sports drama recorded a net collection of approximately Rs 26.90 crore in India on June 6, 2026, representing a decline of 47.3 per cent compared to its opening day revenue of Rs 51 crore.

Despite this downturn, the film has maintained a robust performance overall, reaching a significant milestone at the global box office. Sacnilk’s estimates indicate that Peddi has grossed a total of Rs 150.49 crore worldwide within its first two days of release.

The film’s net collection in India has reached Rs 96.40 crore, while the gross collection stands at Rs 114.49 crore. This indicates that even with the anticipated weekday drop, the film continues to garner substantial interest from audiences.

International Earnings and Contributing Markets

On its second day, while domestic collections saw a reduction, international markets played a crucial role in bolstering the film’s overall financial figures. The overseas earnings for Peddi amounted to Rs 8 crore gross on Day 2, elevating the international total to Rs 36 crore gross. This highlights the film’s appeal beyond Indian borders.

In light of combined domestic and international revenues, the worldwide gross for Peddi now stands at Rs 150.49 crore, according to ongoing estimates from Sacnilk. This performance underscores the film’s strong start, despite the expected reduction in crowds as weekdays commence.

The Telugu-speaking audience remained Peddi’s most significant market, particularly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where these states accounted for Rs 25 crore gross on Day Two. Karnataka contributed Rs 3.23 crore gross, with Tamil Nadu adding Rs 70 lakh and Kerala generating Rs 7 lakh. The remaining parts of India collectively contributed approximately Rs 3 crore gross.

Occupancy Rates Throughout the Day

On its second day, Peddi displayed impressive occupancy rates, especially in its Telugu version, which outperformed its counterparts in other languages. The occupancy rate was recorded at 48.81 per cent, showing a steady increase throughout the day; it rose from 29.85 per cent during morning screenings to 60.15 per cent in the evening shows.

In contrast, the Tamil version of the film recorded an overall occupancy of 19.80 per cent, while the Kannada version saw a slightly lower figure at 17.04 per cent. These statistics indicate a substantial audience interest, particularly for the original Telugu version.
